The team
Tim and Shaun first met on the job in 2006. Shaun was hired for a temporary project and Tim left his current role to step in and train the new recruits. They completed training and went their separate ways. Months later, work again brought them together and conversations revealed the love of comics and drawing and fantasy worlds. A friendship was forged and they have been working together since.
Shaun's art added a new layer to Cg-Ideas and creating for the site gave Shaun direction and a new untapped source of creativity through Tim's work.

They now live at opposite ends of a house in the suburbs with their pets and an enormous collection of books, comics, statues, collectibles and artwork.
Timothy "Timps" Hanslow

He currently resides in Brisbane Australia and apart from Cg-ideas he spends time moderating maxforums.org and running his own photography and design business.

Quote: I wrote the code for Cg-ideas from the ground up and then piggybacked the SMF(Simple machines forum) onto the back so the forums were integrated. The ideas are all out of my own head and I'm always coming up with more.
I just need to find the time now to integrate them into the site.

I'm always thinking of things. New ideas, fantasy worlds, projects, logos, concepts and tasks. I let out some of the creativity by helping other artists. Whether it was people I knew or just by launching into something on a forum and sharing an idea with someone. The idea for Cg-Ideas came to me years ago and I haven't looked back.
It's been a difficult road to get here, but I think the site can do a lot to help the artists of the world.
And I'm always available for consulting and am available to hire for concept or story work.
Everything on the site except the sketches is supplied by me.

My twisted mind conceived all of the worlds, heroes, complications and adventures.

Shaun lives in Brisbane, Australia and when not being worked to the bone creating for Cg-Ideas (which isn't very often) he keeps busy drawing and sketching. Shaun keeps fit and busy with martial arts. And holds two major achievements.

Shaun's qualifications are

  • Second Degree Black Belt : Shotokan Karate.
  • Second Degree Black Belt : Jiu Jitsu
Quote: I started drawing when I was 5 years old. My dad brought home a giant pile of sketchbooks from something he was working on. (Must have been like 50 of them) and I just started drawing. It was around the same time I got my first black and white Batman comic.
I love to draw and can do everything from cartoons and manga through to realism and fantasy.
